UDSM signs MOU with Tianjin Medical University
Dar es Salaam University Vice-Chancellor Professor Rwekaza Sympho Mukandala made a four days visit ( September 9th to 12th, 2013 ) to The People’s Republic of China. The purpose of the visit was to sign an agreement on academic exchange and collaboration between University Dar es salaam and Tianjin Medical University.
On 10th September, 2013 University Dar es salaam and Tianjin Medical University signed agreement on academic exchange and collaboration between the two institutions, signing the memorandum of understanding (MOU) The document was signed for University of Dar es Salaam by Vice Chancellor Professor Rwekaza Sympho Mukandala and by Professor Yongfeng Shang Tianjin Medical University President.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Easther W. Dungumaro, Director of International Relations of University Dar es salaam, Mr. George N. Manongi Education Attaché Embassy of Tanzania, Beijing. Prof. Guolin Wang Vice President of Tianjin Medical University, Prof. Fenglin Guo, Director of the International Exchange Department Tianjin Medical University among others.
September 11th, 2013 Professor Rwekaza Sympho Mukandala visited China University of Petroleum-Beijing and met with President of the University Prof. Zhang Laibin. It was agreed that there is a need to start exchanges between the two for the purpose of formulation MOU where by UDSM and CUP-B will cooperate in all academic aspects and exchange of faculties, Students and training of UDSM Engineering Department staff.
September 12th, 2013 Professor Rwekaza Sympho Mukandala visited Peking University where he met with Vice President Prof. Li Yansong. The two agreed to engage their institutions and prepare MOU for the purpose of energizing the relationship on various fields; they agreed to work on possibilities of exchanging both professors and students.
